Jorge is a pretty singular human by any standard. He has a deep knowledge of the ecosystems you will tour, and an even deeper respect stemming from years of working to study and protect them. As a scientist, I found his discussions of ecological nuance engaging and thorough - as a human, I just really enjoyed hanging out with him for a day!
I won't say much about the area - all of the reviews will reaffirm how stunning the surroundings are, and the flora and fauna are vast in amount and beautiful in appearance. Highlights of our trip included snorkeling on the reef, boating near numerous dolphin groups, sighting manatees and crocodiles, and a stellar location in which to see them all.
This is the kind of experience and the kind of guide that you dream about. My wife and I hope to be back some day!

"Unforgettable experience"Reviewed August 29, 2016

I went on a tour with Jorge twice.
First time my friends and I went on a kayak tour in Sian Ka'an reserve. During sunset we could observe many birds gathering on small islands to rest for the night. We brought a gopro with us with a waterproof case for photo's and video's.
The most memorable moment for me was when we were kayaking after the sunset, and stopped our kayaks in the middle of the lagoon. We were amazed by beautiful night sky and serenity, and in silence gazed at the milky way and ate tropical fruits that Jorge had brought for us.
The second tour was a long hike on the beach of Sian Ka'an reserve in the middle of the night when we went looking for turtles that come to the shore (we went in April) to lay eggs. We were lucky to observe a few and one from very close. Of course without disturbing or touching them and using a special red flash light.
Jorge's devotion, knowledge, respect and passion for animals & nature are what makes his tours so special. And a truly unique experience!
